Today is International Women’s Day and so I would like to dedicate this drawing to an artist I have been looking up to for many years: Viet-My Bui, aka @ravenskar aka one of my biggest inspirations for my art!
This is a redraw of a portrait I did nearly 7 years ago of her, it was back when I had just gotten started with digital drawing and I had no idea what I was doing. I used to scroll through her blog like every day and become so inspired that I kept on going, no matter what. She is honestly a very big reason for why I got started with digital drawing in the first place and I admire her very much for that. She has also posted about her own art journey and the storms she has gone through, much of which I can relate to currently with my life, making her an even more important inspiration for me. A lot of times when I have an art block or feel down, I look at her art and it reminds me of why I love what I do and the goals I have with my art.
I will stop babbling now, I know I’m being super sappy — but if you read this Viet-My, thanks for posting your incredible art online and being awesome and sharing your awesomeness with us! <3
She is active on Instagram, you should definitely follow her there! Here is her Tumblr too. Bye! lmao
