My three favorite characters are Dieter, Javi P, and.... the third depends on the day. Today I'm feeling Din.
I love Dieter so much, especially the more fleshed out version of him in fanfiction vs the movie. He's adorable and funny, if a bit obnoxious. I really connected with his character through a couple of fics -- Celestial Navigation by @write-and-buried and Psychomanteum by @whatsnewalycat. Plus he's the first boy I ever wrote a fic for. AND I have a savior complex so like... I wanna fix him.
Javi P is just... my type. Idk. He's the one I relate most to personality wise and also the one I think is the most attractive. He's a sad boy alcoholic and I relate to that on a deeply personal level lmao. Idk I'm not super able to explain what my pull is toward him. I just love him so much and also I can fix him (this is a lie, I would make him worse. So much worse).
Din is my favorite long fic boy and I'm in a longfic mood right now. Something about the long drawn out slow burns with milestones like learning his name, seeing his hands, then finally eventually seeing his face AGHGHHGHGH it drives me wild. I love the way he's always stoic on the surface but fic gives you an insight to what's going on under the helmet and in his head. I am terrible with children, even green ones, and have no actual skills he would benefit from so idk why he'd take me away on the Crest but boy do I want him to.
(others that hit the top 3 rotation are Ezra and Dave... don't crucify me for not having Joel up there. I love him, just not as much).
