@rawdealed asked: mimic, egg bomb and psywave!
technical machine character development questions.
mimic — what are some mannerisms that your muse has picked up from others? do they recognize that this is the case or not?
if we want to get technical, most of his mannerisms are picked up from other people. i like to think most of the mannerisms are his own, they are eddy, but in truth they're all things he has picked up from the environment where he grew up in south london. from his narcissistic parents he gets passive aggression, aggression and occasional apathy. though he never picked up their narcissism, but he knows how to pretend and act like one. from corrections officers in the juvenile centers he stayed at he gets their very confrontational mannerisms like full eye contact, gets up in your face kind of threats. the way he talks and walks is picked up from the stereotypical group of youths in the uk called chav or roadmen that was his people until he fled to america. some of that is watered down now, though, from being around american english speaking people for six years.
after moving to america, he picked up things from his boss most of all. the way his boss leads by instilling quiet fear into people is something he looks up to and tries to mimic sometimes. it doesn't always work, because eddy is not known for being as quiet as his boss, so he ends up doing it his way. his boss' interrogation methods and torture methods are also things he copies. they are usually more psychological than bloody. but these are also things he has made his own because he doesn't like to hurt people if he doesn't need to.
eddy is aware of looking up to his boss and using his actions as inspiration. but he isn't aware of the things that he picked up from his parents or the corrections officers.
egg bomb — what kind of foods would your muse never be caught dead eating?
i would like to rule out all of the things in the disgusting food museum, at least the ones that are just ... unnecessary. eddy is typically not fussy with food, but i don't think he'd eat oysters, liver or any kind of squishy organs from a living being. cooked or raw.
psywave — is there an important memory your muse has that they wouldn’t like to forget?
yes! normally he doesn’t like to dwell on the past, but there are a few memories and one, in particular, that is very important to him. it’s a memory of his younger brother and him spending a whole day together. it was before they were removed and separated from their parents and each other. using his own money he had earned from the county lines, he took his brother on a train to brighton. they had a full day of fun adventures and different kinds of food treats like ice cream, waffles, fish and chips, as well as trying different kinds of rides at brighton pier. it’s the happiest he ever saw his brother and that’s how he likes to remember him.
