Some days it seems impossible to keep breathing let alone find things to be grateful for. Sometimes we have to search with strength we did not realize we had, to see the good, to see the magic, to see what most overlook and so sadly miss. Like this painting God created for a beautiful sunrise. Do you see the rainbow colors on the clouds? Do you see that some of the clouds look like sharks teeth? Do you see the rainbow around the sun? All of those things are there and if I had been looking down, weighed by poor health and circumstances that i simply cannot remedy, I would have missed this moment of love from heaven. The Bible tells us to fix our eyes on things above (see Colosians). God gives us this direction for good reason-- to help us know His love for us, that He is with us always, that there are things greater and more majestic than we live in arduous circumstances... This sunrise painting did not miraculously cure me nor did it bring resolution to the impossibilities I am living. Nonetheless, it brought my countenece upward and joy to my heart, a smile to my face, refreshment to my spirit and gratitude to my soul. The more frequent this kind of thing occurs, the greater my capacity to appreciate what I do have. I leave the rest to God. I let it be. #gospel #grateful #sunrise #ocean #clouds #rainbow #saltlife #rawfaith #purplebu77erfly #choices #chronicpain #chronicillness #blue #challenge #jesus #important #praise #God #beach #water
