it took a ~minute~ but i am feeling better & things have been good :) a friend who i hadn’t seen in a year recently visited, & i’m joining a friend’s rec soccer league this coming week, which i’m so excited for (& a little nervous because it’s been A Minute since i played lol)

HI RAY <3 it has been a while, i’ve had a kind of full last month and a half (ish), but in a good way—lots of fun plans with friends & new experiences :) today i was trying to plan something fun to wear for the conan concert because it’s getting closer, but i kept getting distracted by other things and ended up getting exactly nothing figured out for it (rip).

how have you been?? anything fun/new/stressful/interesting recently?

HI RAY !

today is going to be a longgg travel day for me (gotta love flight delays 🙃) but that aside it’s been a pretty good past week—my best friend & i hosted our annual christmas party & it was super fun to see friends before everyone dispersed for the holidays :)

YEAH i was going to be super normal about it & the i had the free time to read the books, and now i’m both enjoying the show as just a fun little show AND a reallllly well done adaptation—imo it’s kinda a masterclass on how to remain faithful to the original text while adjusting for the contrasting strengths & limitations of tv shows vs. books. Also, the acting is just so good—everyone has killed it, but I feel like it’s so evident that Hudson and Connor both put a lot of work into really understanding Shane and Ilya (same with François and Robbie honestly—they had one episode and they made it COUNT).

and don’t get me wrong, episodes 1-4 are all so good! but episode 5 was SO. GOOD. the way they showed Shane & Ilya’s relationship deepening/becoming something more serious as they’re opening themselves up to emotional intimacy too??
