Perfect Blue
Psychological horror anime. Mimarin is a pop idol who has decided to make a career move to acting. As she tries to navigate the difficult transition, it becomes clear that she has a stalker and people around her start getting murdered. As the stress takes a toll, her grip on reality starts to slip. Trigger warning for rape scenes.
Masterfully made. I didn’t realise this was by the same director who made Millenium Actress when I bought the DVD but the style and themes are recognisable.

Night of the Eagle
A happily married university professor with a successful career, and beautiful home finds out his wife has been practicing witchcraft and she believes his achievements are the result of her spells. A sceptic, he talks her into burning all her witchy paraphernalia, despite her warnings. The next day, things start going wrong for him.
A fun witchy movie.
