Scorpion 3x23 Review aka THE BEST EPISODE EVER!
Yep I went there! Better than Dam Breakthrogh which was my fave episode before! You know you're excited for an episode when you wake up at 5:15am and can't get back to sleep! So I sat up and watched the episode dammit! THIS EPISODE WAS SO GOOD! I mean we got PROPER Quintis and Waige in the same episode! Although it was kind of spoiled by sneak peeks in the lead up! And RAY WAS BACK! I loved his return! Who else could marry Happy and Toby?! So yeah the wedding was so perfect I cried almost all the way through it! Toby not being able to say his vows was so perfect, and Happy's just made me want to crawl up in a ball and mutter sweet somethings all day long! "We fit. You are my home" yep I'm crying tears all over again! I thought Happys wedding outfit was just right for her, and that small ceremony fitted perfectly! I'm actually quite glad it wasn't the big wedding with all of Toby's family! When Cabe said he was honoured to walk her down the aisle I WAS DYING! So yeah I loved the wedding! It was so perfect! I need to know though, is Happy Mrs Curtis now?! And then Waige...they shouldn't have spoiled that the day before! I saw the clip and was like OMG but also a bit annoyed it was spoiled! If I had seen that when I watched the episode I WOULD BE DEAD RIGHT NOW! That's a lot of sexual frustration pent up, so I can see why they got frisky in the cupboard! Although that meant Quintis haven't consummated their marriage yet! And Slys reaction was so perfect! Such a good line! And Cabes reaction just summed up the fandom perfectly! And we have two more episodes still! This is the best day! The ending wasn't hugely surprising! I had a feeling that's how it would end! I'm excited to see how the island situation affects them all! Although the writers better not try and break my babies up! Also side note: I saw someone else post this. When Cabe gave Toby that money at the end, I hope they're not setting up for Toby to get back into Gambling! Writers don't do that! So yeah I LOVED THIS EPISODE! I plan to watch it again in entirety as soon as I get home! LIFE IS GOOD AND QUINTIS ARE MARRIED!
Arrow tonight was like 💗😁🤗🤓😫😱😢🤐👿👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👩❤️👩🏹🔫⛓🎉🎉👭💏💑🙊🙈
Sunday March 9 felt like April
The day started out chilly with fog out in the Straight. Alan was out of town and missed the ride. In compensation Ray of Etape fame showed up, its been a while. Its always good to see old friends. He said this was the first day back in the saddle, but he had been spinning. That sounds only a bit more funny than it is.
I could never do a spin class. The disco music alone would drive me round the bend. But it does give your muscles a bit of strength and fitness. So we said we would go easy ( right, Brian was there ) and we could do a nice run out to Stanley Park via Cambie and Ontario St. So Ray, Brian Eoin and I went a riding.
Cambie is a good climb, and if I could go just a bit faster it would be an 8 minute hill. But Ontario is cursed with busy crossing streets and you must stop basically at every one. Riding in Vancouver is like that. There are only two areas in the city where you can open up for any distance. One is Stanley Park the other is UBC. Technically UBC is its own municipality. Most Vancouver cyclists go to Stanley Park or "Get out of town."
Brian led us out of Steveston, and well 30 - 31 kph most of the way. I took a pull and got down to 28, but we were being quicker than easy. Ray mentioned we were making him go 30 on his first ride of the year. Well yes, but he did not get dropped.
So up Cambie we did take it easy. It was sunny and it felt almost warm in my three layers. Ray and I chatted, and Brian passed us and went up the road. The thing about hills is there is a speed that feels right and you tend to go to it. When I am doing sweeper stuff I hold back and just keep my heart rate down. Last year on that MFF Cypress ride I never went over 85%. Today was like that.
Over to Ontario and down to Science World and around Pacific. On Pacific we passed a strange man with a big honking horn on his bike. The kind like antique cars had. He was doggin it with his dumpster treasures. Then the bugger chased us and said "ya get going you can do it" or words to that effect. I got chased by a homeless guy with a "liberated" bike while I was on my carbon fiber red bike with the aero wheels. AAk.
So out to SP by Pacific where we were dogged by traffic lights. Finally got to the park and did not hammer it. It is a beautiful place. Just a nice easy tour then up to Prospect point by way of that nice little hill. On top of Prospect we rested and had our snacks. We could see a fog bank coming in over the Bay. Its cool to see and it is cold inside it. Oh this is going to be chilly if it comes all the way into the Park. Which it did.
Down the hill to Ferguson Pt and the fog was there. Chilly. I waited for Ray and Eoin. I am fast down that hill without even trying. I was not even pedaling the bottom half and I passed serious riders. The Denman area was cold and the sun blocked out. The Burrard bridge looked bright so we were going that way anyhow. The bridge was in the sun and we stayed warmer all the way to Spanish Banks. The road along there is cool as it is in shadow. We climbed the hill to UBC at an easy pace as Ray finally conceded that he was getting tired, though he did not put it that way.
So up to UBC and down to Marine drive past the Mansions and over to the bridge. Waited again by that intersection for Ray and Eoin. While waiting a small group of people on mountain bikes were walking up that little hill James is so fond of. I was thinking that they had plenty of gears and they were young and not fat. Hmm.
Then one of them came up to us and said they were trying to get "over the water" and wanted to find Steveston. They had come from Kits. Tourists with nice British accents, and no sense of distance. Ray started to explain the route by naming the bridge and the roads. I said we could go slower and they could follow us since that is where we were headed. They said they were slow, but thanked us. Ray then proceeded to sprint over the bridge.
Anyway we got them to railway and hopefully they found their fish and chips and have a nice war story.
At Granville and #2 we were splitting up and I got my signals crossed with Eoin. He went over like a tree as I almost hit him. That's what happens when signals get crossed. No blood. No scrapped paint.
Ray and I went down Railway. Chatting as per usual. I split off on Williams. See you next time.
So anyway 76 ish km in just over 3 hours. I am at 261 km for the month and 1300 ish for the year so far.
I am going to try HIIT intervals this week. If I survive I will report. HIIT intervals are usually quite simple. Go as hard as you can for a short time. If that is only seconds that is fine. Then rest. There are as many protocols as there are coaches. The green monster awaits.
