I know I haven’t posted about Evadare in a while, but this has been eating away at me for almost two years.

You see this man?

I would like you to tell me his name.

No, really! What’s his name?

If you’re familiar with Evadare at all, you probably said his name is Clyde.

That’s what the wiki calls him!

That’s what the fandom calls him!

So that must be his name, right?

WRONG!

Back when Void bonus 1 had just come out, I asked Rem some story stuff I was curious about.

I’m not on that server anymore for a number of reasons but that’s not important. What matters is that HIS NAME IS NOT CLYDE!!

She said she’d announce it in the Evadare “movie” she was working on (Idk if it was gonna be a legit short film or just the amalgamation of all the bonuses?)

Nevertheless, at the end of Void’s 3rd bonus, his name was finally revealed:

Rayan.

His name is Rayan.

So my question is,

Where the fuck did “Clyde” come from?

Rem specifically said that wasn’t his name, so it couldn’t have come from her. I couldn’t find any record of anyone announcing it as a headcanon before his name was revealed. And frankly, Rayan as a character is usually straight-up forgotten. Hell, he doesn’t even have a sound.

So if anyone has any idea of the origin of “Clyde” for Rayan’s name, please tell me. I need to know.
