Can we talk about the fact that Betilla is essentially a female Rufous Hummingbird
(Female Rufous hummingbird image source: Wikipedia) These little feathered friends are marked as Near Threatened according to the IUCN, this is due to insect populations dwindling (pesticides and intensifying agriculture are the main causes) and climate change causing flowers that these birds feed on to bloom too early during their breeding season, thus a Rufous hummingbird might be too late to feed on it.
Allow me just a moment to say something really wholesome and nice.
Ever since joining the Rayman fandom and community, I have been met with so much love and respect. I can't say that I've seen that in a lot of communities that I've been in. I've felt so welcome from day one. On top of that, instead of there being fighting among self-shippers, we all support and respect each other. I'm so proud to be a part of this fandom.
Rayman's so small that he needs a friggin' BOX for a booster seat, I'm losing it 😭 Imagine taking Rayman to a restaurant, and the waiter asks "need a booster seat for your child" and you're like, "...no, he's just really short." They give it to you anyway 😭😭
