Plus we have so much stuff, especially comic books and movies based on them that are dark and/or gritty that it's become almost overwhelming and not so original post TDK. Honestly a slightly more light-hearted program would be a breath of fresh air.

EXACTLY. Also the baseline is who doesn’t wanna watch a cute ass woman realising her potential in the world and watching as she discovers that she’s freaking awesome. -- and not bc shes supermans cousin but because she’s HERSELF.
