Omg so I don't have any music people to spazz about this to so I thought I should tell you... So I took a final in guitar class today and one of the questions was "how long does an accidental last" and the choices were: (A) until the end of the measure (B) until the end of the line (C) until the end of the piece (D) until the end of time.... I almost picked D just bc of how great it was.......

I don’t even know when you sent this bc I never got a notification about it? But that’s awesome. Except I might cry if accidentals lasted till the end of time I’M SO BAD AT READING THEM

I just want to take the key signature and run with it. Minor keys are the worst when they’re in harmonic or melodic because accidentals are fucking everywhere.

Friend I am totally down for not using the term race like that is a v good point that I never thought of before but I would just like to ask what term we should use instead ? Like is saying "ethnicity" or something okay?

i really dont know??+ :| but i think so. i studied sociology for two years and ethnicity is the term we used when addressing people from different countries. like, my ethnicity is norwegian and that explains where i come from. but i also think that it’s kinda wrong to use that too? like, i have a bunch of friends whose parents are of asian heritage, do they also count as being of norwegian ethnicity? i think that the label issue is a bad one. why is everything about what ur skin color is, what u look like, where it looks like ur from etc. it breeds a LOT of prejudices. so idk. i just know that race isn’t a thing and that we should stop using that term. i see people defending poc using the term ‘mixed race’ and i’m like?? u are trying to erase racism, yet u use the very same term that caused that shit in the first place.
