razakh - haunted one, bronze bloodline draconic sorcerer
the thing abt raz is he desperately wants out of his shitty fucked up body and this essentially supercedes any other priority for him.
he is fascinated by shadowheart, in part bc of her shar worship (goddess of absence goddess of loss goddess of pain, a beacon for a man with no memories and no anchor but the pain in his body and the ways he finds to relieve it) and in part bc of the parallels between them - chronic pain and absent memories, a punishmentblessing from a god who sees you as a useful tool, an extension of their will (not that he knows this is his position, yet), and so he pushes her towards shar more and more because if shadowheart can be rewarded for her faith - if she can overcome her doubts and ultimately her pain, her punishment, then maybe he can too, and maybe it'll all start to make sense.
and for a while, it does! he gets the slayer form he gets a way out of his pain and his body he gets the rewardhigh from the killing and slowly he starts to tip over from -the pain is worth bearing for the larger goal- to -why shouldn't I be free of this- and he gets less and less concerned about it, and the relief starts to outweigh the guilt, and if he's being honest with himself he never felt that guilty anyway-
because raz is, when it comes down to it, a deeply selfish, intensely self important person, and the way his body is forces him to think about himself more than anything else (his pain, his loss, his absent memories) and that starts to consume him. and he does love shadowheart, but not enough to save her, and he does love his friends, but not enough to see past the things they tell him they want (ascending astarion, letting karlach die) because ultimately, everything else pales in comparison to him and his own desires.
each wound a mouth singing
1k words durge/abdirak not sure how to content warn but. bdsm/torture/blood warnings (it's abdirak + durge)
His legs shake, Abdirak's hand on his neck the only thing keeping him upright. His breath comes fast, panting hot against the stone, hands flexing nails bloody and blackened. All he can smell, taste, feel, is the blood that pours from him, pools at his feet, in the curve of his spine. He revels in it, in the heat of it, on his skin and in his gut, singing-sparking alive and mine and redredred like the rising sun.

mwah have some raz<3
Open the mouth (taste the rot) and spit onto the ground, cram the fingers between the teeth (wide and flat no fangs here) and bite down until the pain is too much, traitorous body rebelling against the impulse (not these fingers not these bones) and drag the hand out dripping mouthwet bloodshine. It tastes wrong. Bitter like rot, stale like old blood turned black.
most important things about modern au raz,in order:
seemingly indefinite collection of sick jackets
guy who is perpetually on his phone but never answers texts
has one of those tiktok kitchens that's incredibly sleek and beautiful and modern and has never once been used for actual cooking
hihiHI I would love to indulge ye … If they could change their ancestry and choose to live another life, would they? What path would they take? And What do they gain from taking a life ?
MWAH ty!! answered the first one for tia just below so I'll do the second one for them all :3
TIAVYN
it depends on the life - there's a certain satisfaction in killing someone who deserves it, and they do enjoy the act of killing in itself. there's accomplishment in winning a fight, there's a grim satisfaction in being the one to survive, and there's the physical sensation of doing the thing your body was made to do.
its not until later that the crippling guilt comes in:)
FALYN
similar to tia, I think she gets the most enjoyment out of the knowledge of success, of victory, the survival and the adrenaline rush of it.
RAZAKH
for him, I think it's much more of a physical sensation : he's never closer to bhaal than when he's killing, and that's when the pain and the wrongness of his body kinda fall away and he feels closest to himself. it's almost identity affirming, in a way, and combined with the relief of his physical symptoms it's a real high for him.
MWAH. OKAY. How would falyn spend the last night of her life? ANDDD if tia could change their ancestry and choose to live another life, would they? What path would they take? AND. What keeps raz up at night? or swap em around if u want mwah mwah
MWAH love youuu!!
FALYN
i think. depending on how she was gonna die and how she knew it was happening....she'd want to be outside. probably on her own- says her goodbyes, in her usual awkward stilted way, the day before, and then just vanishes into the woods. she wouldn't want anyone to see her die, especially not astarion. maybe she'd go hunting, maybe she'd just walk into the woods and keep going until she couldn't any more. either way, she's doing it as quiet and normal as she can. no funeral, no burial; let the hyenas have her.
TIAVYN
ohhhh....I think they'd be tempted. like, so, so tempted. I think, in the end, by the epilogue, they'd choose not to - they've been through so much and they have finally learned some kind of peace, and if nothing else there's a sense that this is a life they've fought and bled for, and it's theirs; still, they'd think pretty hard about it. there are a lot of points through act 1 and 2 where they'd do it in a heartbeat, too.
RAZAKH
he has nightmares + chronic pain lol so. there's that. there's also conflict about what he's doing, that sense that there's something else he should be doing, that things don't quite fit - he spends a lot of time going around in circles about what that could be, about the memories he's missing and concerns about how he came to be here, and to be the way he is.
