Toma had no idea what it was she’d been given, just that she was drunk and that Jaina had such a stupid pretty face. “I hate your face.” She muttered. “It’s so pretty, I just... I just wanna-” The redhead cut herself off by grabbing onto both sides of Jaina’s face, not really giving the brunette woman a proper chance to react before planting a kiss to her forehead.

He wasn't planning on sleeping. In fact, he'd thought that he'd be unable to sleep again, as he had the last several nights since coming home. He should have known better. Jaina was the one person he felt safe with in the entire base. Sitting with her he found his eyelids growing heavy. Before he could stop himself he was nodding out and slumping into her. Poor thing, stuck with her brother's dead weight half collapsed against her.

“No, I don’t.” Although Toma was usually more carefree, she was definitely capable of being serious. “Things happen for a reason, not because of some imaginary thing we thank good things for. I escaped an uncaring master because I let him think I wouldn’t run. I came to a village because I knew if I found people I could hide and I knew where it was. I helped a stranger escape from horrible people because I knew it was the right thing to do. I was brought here because of gratitude and the fact I had no real home to go to.”
She took a drink from her own glass, clearing her throat a little afterwards.

He’d forgotten what it was like to live with sisters. Not that he hadn’t missed them. If he was being honest he’d missed Ana and Jaina more than most other people in this universe, but it was an adjustment remembering that they did normal girly things like changing clothes regularly. It sounded insane that he was unaccustomed to that but the Troopers and Officers he was user to being surrounded by stayed in uniform until regulated rest hours. There was no reason to fear opening doors on the star destroyer or Starkiller Base. But his sister’s loud screech at his sudden presence was a sharp reminded. The door slammed shut again quickly, him almost tripping over his own limbs in a mad scramble to get out of there, the resulting ❝ OH HELLS! ❞ audible through the door even with it shut between them now.
