Razlor's workshop was the product of many incremental expansions and improvements over recent years. Like a modular amalgamation of various building styles, the structure borrowed from charr, norn and even Ascalonian architecture components to create its unique look. Most of the building materials had been pilfered from different ruins scattered around nearby regions, re-appropriated and made to work together. It wasn't exactly the most tasteful combination of those varied sources, but its originality gave it a certain overall charm.
The workshop was located along the western portion of the Diessa Plateau region, close enough to the main roads but almost far enough into the higher elevation to border on the Wayfarer Foothills. It was positioned in a tidy crevice between cliffs, where a few trees and even a small pond were partly concealed behind it.
The building itself consisted of several segments, the largest of which being the most horrifying, where most of the carving, skinning and butchering took place. The living quarters were modest and functional, but spacious enough to accommodate a Charr such as himself. He even had a functional kitchen area, though almost every item he owned seemed to have a well-worn, rusted quality to it.
His bedroom had a great big set of garage-style doors that opened up into the 'yard' area at the back, creating a surprisingly serene and comfortable effect. His bed itself appeared to have taken from norn inspiration. It was huge, low to the floor, featured a selection of different furs, but lacked the kind of overstated poster frames that norn beds usually had.
Out in front, he had another kind of working area defined, but was clearly meant more for the fine-tuning, detail intensive work that would come later in the project. There were plenty of places to sit outside, both in the front and the back of the structure. A great big fire pit sat out front as well. A relatively small stable structure sat empty and unused, seperate from the main building.
Thankfully, even though a lot of skinning and taxidermy work took place on the premises, there weren't many examples of it being displayed. He had a few of the more impressive monster trophies set up out front, but for the most part, he didn't hang onto anything he'd be better off selling. It wasn't like the Bates Motel in there.
Razlor (Pros and cons prompt)
{I mean this is supposed to be asking me to list pros and cons of my characters, but wth I’ll take a stab in the dark.}
Pros:
heated fur blanket any time you need it
careful use of claws means no back itch goes unscratched
who needs a sleeping bag when you have a Charr?
immediate respect in any bar/tavern
if you need to reach a top shelf, look no further
Cons:
heated fur blanket, even in summer
hope you don’t wear all black because Charr do shed
not-so-careful use of claws means a lot of damage to your clothes
making out with a Charr is difficult at best
lashing tails mean nothing on the coffee table is safe
