Tumblr, may I show you my very own Robot DnB AU
Okay, these little things are my children. I’m not sure what tag to use because I DO NOT WANT anyone I know from the other site to find them.
In this version of the world, all the server members are robots, specifically, animatronics equipped with artificial intelligence implants and machine learning systems. (They're all AI, but JUST TRUST ME ON THIS ONE).
The main focus of this AU is, of course, my beloved above.
Just a comfort AU full of silly, bizarre adventures, romance, platonic bonding, healing, slight shades on canon and irl, morally neutral, forced dysfunctional found-family, with taboo ideology, tame and mild technological body horror, machines being physically and (somehow) psychologically tortured, and major character deaths.
They are all robots, so explicit content is impossible. There will just be abstract interpretations, symbolic versions of that. You could even call it suggestive content.
I haven't had a fleshed-out design for everyone else, but I already had the concept planned, and I plan to fully post all of it here in the future.
Thank you for reading. :D
My Robot!DnB Au [Repetition became Emotion]: Full on yapping
You know me, and since you're on my blog, you'd know that I have had this little AU going around for quite a while.
They look silly and harmless, but it was one of my very first and most thought-out AUs in this fandom as a whole.
It is so interesting and fun to work on them, since after all, it's essentially a love story between 2 robots. Not between a human and a robot, but 2 machines managed to fall in love through the sheer power of trauma, internal desires, and bullshit logic. There's no human to guide them through their emotions, and there's no human who would teach them about love. They taught themselves through questionable methods and pieced them together like a messy puzzle that doesn't match.
The best part is figuring out how they'd comprehend, react, and interact with the situations that they were in. They are robots, machines, artificial intelligence that function with the help of a little magic. They don't understand common sense, emotion, and they most definitely don't need to eat, sleep, relax, or any other soft and fluffy stuff that you commonly see in romance plotline stories. They most certainly do not feel attraction like a normal human would, and they also don't experience intimacy in their interaction like a normal human would.
The hard stuff is to make them willingly choose each other despite not having the fuel from the environment or the traction that comes from casual skinship interactions. To make them feel and express empathy when they aren't supposed to.
To make them go through pain and sorrow, at the same time, achieving happiness and true freedom when those things were not meant for them.
RbE!au entire casts
Besides Robot!Rivals, their maker has created a whole world pulled straight from cliché classic Sci-fi movies, with the addition of 30 robots based on the other 30 DSMP members. I've worked on Quackity, George, Sapnap, Awesamdude, Philza, Tommy, Wilbur, Punz, Foolish, Niki, and Philza for their characters as robots.
Only George and Phil have a proper design; everyone else is a WIP.
Funny story, rbe!Dream was the first to be created, and everyone else was made with his assistance. And Dream has the silly little toxic habit of reminding people that he "made" them (he was the assistant, the experiment, the prototype, and the practice dummy for future gadgets to be added to other machines). None of the robots or he himself takes it seriously, nor do they have the ability to care, except for Tommy, though.
