Have you ever thought about starting your own business?  Several people dream of leaving the “rat race” and jumping into the unknowns of self employment.  For those of us who have experienced it before, starting your own business can be the equivalent to walking  into a dark cave that someone once told you will end in gold with your own freedom.

Other questions that arise include how do you go about raising capital to finance your business.  Will a traditional lender such as a bank  be your best option, or should you go after Angel money?  Angel money; what is Angel money and does it come from the heavens?  This may sound like a joke, but this is a question that has been asked.  These are just a few questions amongst many that will arise when you decide to take the plunge of business ownership and they  are questions that need to be addressed up front while planning they type of business you will run.  The answers to these question are usually written up in a business plan that helps determine the direction of your business as well as gives you a future financial outlook.  Without a business plan too much is left to chance, like shooting at a target into the dark.  Business plans should be written with no stone left unturned, but it should also be flexible to change.

RBTK Charity Golf Tournament

Rosner Brown Touchstone & Keller Charity Golf Tournament Announced

2nd Annual Event To Benefit Barry Zito’s Strikeouts For Troops and Bayside Community Center

  San Diego, Calif. (April 12, 2013) – On Thursday, June 6, Rosner Brown Touchstone & Keller (RBTK) will be hosting a very special golf tournament to benefit Strikeouts For Troops and Bayside Community Center at the spectacular Rancho Bernardo Inn.  The tournament will bring golfers together in a scramble format for a day of fun and camaraderie that will include lots of contests, gifts and awards, along with a very special auction.

                            In addition to the golf, everyone will have a chance to win great prizes in the hole-in-one, long drive, and putting competitions.  There will also be lunch provided to golfers and a catered post-event awards party.  Attendees will have to opportunity to participate in a silent auction with many exciting items available.  Additionally, the recently renovated, 18-hole California Championship Golf Course at the Rancho Bernardo Inn has hosted both PGA and LPGA events and continues to present golfers of all skill levels with a challenging and rewarding day on the course.

  Strikeouts for Troops is a national non-profit organization founded by San Francisco Giant's star Barry Zito with a mission to giving back to military heroes while providing the 'comforts of home' and lifting the spirits and morale of our injured troops and their families in their greatest time of need.

  Bayside Community Center is a non-profit agency dedicating to improving quality of life by providing youth, senior, and family services to the Linda Vista community.

  The Rancho Bernardo Inn is located at 17550 Bernardo Oaks Drive, San Diego, CA 92128.  The tournament is $250 per person or $800 a foursome to participate, and will include lunch and a catered post-event award party.  Check-in starts at 11:00 a.m., tee time is at 12:00 noon, and the post-event award party will be held at 5:00 p.m.  For anyone interested in participating as a golfer, sponsor or prize donor, please contact Melissa Holden at [phone] or [email protected].
