Pinned Against the Wall @rcquiiem said: [ SHIELD ]: in order to protect them from physical harm caused by a third party, the sender shoves the receiver against the wall and shields them with their body. / to theo
The space was eerily quiet, leaving Theo to suspect an ambush was on the horizon. He kept his weapon at the ready, the metal familiar against the palm of his hand while he moved through the hallway behind Harry. He trusted the agent's expertise and experience, so he was comfortable letting him lead the way, and that also meant that when shit inevitably hit the fan, he knew that he would be safe.
He felt his back hitting the wall as the sound of gunfire reached his ears, and he watched as Harry had kicked into action. As bullets flew, Theo lifted his own weapon and fired in unison with the other, watching as their would-be attackers dropped one by one.
Injury Prompts @rcquiiem said:🪡 Carefully stitch the receiver's wound with steady hands. / to steven
It was far from the worst he'd had, but Steven couldn't help the wince that crossed his features as he felt Ray cleaning the gash that sat above his hip. He tried his best to lay still, head against the pillows and his eyes closed while taking slow, steady breaths.
"Can't believe I let the bastard get the jump on me. Guess it's a sign I'm getting old..." he mused, voice soft so as not to disturb the silence too much. When his eyes finally opened again, he let his gaze rest on the other man for a few moments, watching as Ray worked carefully to begin stitching the wound. "Thanks..."
