An ‘Unfortunate’ Death

Sibella Holland was a widower, one who’s husband died in a mysterious motorcar accident just a week prior. The Earl and Countess of Highhurst invited her to stay with them so she could grieve, though only the three of them knew what had truly happened with Lionel Holland. Unfortunate accident? More like planned murder.

Sibella was finally getting settled into the home, which Phoebe was happy about. It would be nice to have the woman to talk to during the day, whilst Monty was busy with his Earl duties. After all, she did want to get to know her better, after conspiring with her to get Monty out of jail.

Knocking gently on the blonde’s door, the brunette gently cleared her throat before addressing the woman. “Mrs Holland, may I come in?” she asked, loud enough for the woman to be able to hear through the door.

rcseattar didn’t like the thing but too bad.

It was not ballet, swinging on a cold, metal pole in front of a crowd filled with men. It was not classical music playing over the speakers but a loud, heavy beat she could feel pounding through the floor. It was what she did for a living, though. Stripping and pole dancing for the entertainment of others - complete strangers that meant nothing to her. The only thing that made this worth it was the check that came in the mail every week and the fact she was able to work with her best friend. A glance was spared to Sibella as she spun about the pole. The other blonde woman was busy working up the crowd, taking off another layer of clothing to reveal more skin. Meg must have been watching for a moment too long, envy of Sibella’s toned body keeping her attention, for several men were heard whooping and hollering at them a little louder.  Meg lost her balance and laughed, leaning against the pole to catch her balance before she fell on her backside. “Woohoo!” she hooted, clapping her hands in encouragement, hoping the attention in the room would fall on Sibella while she collected her composure and dignity from the floor.
