what notebooks do you recommend for a bullet journal?

i’ve used muji and moleskine so far so here are my two cents on each:

everyone on studyblr raves about moleskines but tbh i don’t like them that much. if you have stabilo pens like i did, they bleed through, and the paper is not that good for pens. also they are way too overpriced. i only use them for sketching now.

however, i use muji notebooks now, and ooomggg i am so in love. if you are super cheap like me these are perfect haha i got an a5 dot grid notebook for only $5.50 and the paper is so smooth and much better than moleskine paper. the only downside is that there arent that many muji stores around and if you buy online the shipping is $$$$...i got my muji notebooks when i visited new york but it’s a pain to travel 200 miles to the nearest muji store haha.

i have also heard good things about leuchtturm notebooks, the OG bullet journal notebook (actually the official notebook used in the first bulletjournal.com video), but i’m too cheap and broke to buy one now, and i prefer soft covers anyway.

hi so i saw you liked the muji gel pens and i've been wanting to get some so would you recommend the .38 or .5

hi! sorry for answering late. i reaaalllyyy like the look of .38 pens especially when i see people with suepr nice handwriting take notes using the .38 pen on studyblr :’) BUT i got the 0.38 pens and my handwriting is sort of a mess and it would probably be better with the 0.5mm pens. the 0.38 pens are very thin and hard to get used to, and the 0.5mm would probably give me more control. i still use the 0.38 pens for the aesthetic tho haha!

my brother makes all of my graphics!!! he is so talented tbh !!! if u want him to make something for u [like an icon or banner or thumbnail or logo or whatever] then be sure to check out his website which is linked here!!

Hi! I make all of my graphics on Photoshop and/or Illustrator, but for studiix graphics, I’ve only used photoshop so far!! Thank you for noticing them 💗

what notebooks do you recommend for a bullet journal?

the best notebook is the one you have on you! 

if you already own some notebooks lying around i strongly recommend using one of them, however if you want to buy a new one these are a few of my favourites!

Moleskine Large Gridded

Moleskine Large Dotted (either of the two is up to preference - i personally would love to have a dotted one but i have a gridded currently)

muni dotted notebook - i’ve heard great things about these so if there’s somewhere you can buy near you you could have a squiz! 

printing graph paper - Im also trying this, what I've done is print off graph paper from online and then cut it in half to fit in my kikki k planner and it’s working great!

ok so I'm thinking about getting muji gel ink pens but I can't decide between .38 and .5 so what's your advice?

0.38 if you want a finer line/ if your handwriting has the tendency to fall into the line between “illegible” and “a toddler scribbled across the page” (THIS IS ME, ALL THE TIME). It’ll make it easier to read. Otherwise the 0.5! 

Alternatively there are packs which include both (might be worth the saving if you can’t decide! :D)
