RD400F and BBQ - Franklin, TN
Today was a warm day in Nashville. Took out the RD400F to blow off the cobwebs and burn some Klotz through the pipes.

Daytona Special
Gerardo and I have been talking and e-mailing each other for several months and we live on the same island! Gerardo’s in Ewa Beach, about 20 miles from me. Last weekend we finally had a chance to meet in person and I got to checkout his 1979 RD400F, also known as the Daytona Special. He bought the bike from a guy in his neighborhood, a neglected project.
Gerardo did a great job fixing it up! He’s going to get it registered and on the road soon.
The expansion chambers are Moto Carrera. The front of the pipes were hanging too low at first. Gerardo is a welder and he cut the front of the pipes and shortened them to get a frame-hugging fit.
He had the wheels powdercoated and the seat foam is cut down to keep him on the bike when he's riding wheelies!
