Red Dead Online Protgonist Respawn Headcanons: Shaky
Aka: What would happen if red dead online strangers actually addressed the fact that you can not die.
I asked some people discord for requests and one person answered so here it is.
- Shaky was dubious of you, even after taking the job he had offered you. Even when you came back for more work, it almost seemed too good to be true. Someone to split profits with and had a near perfect track record.
- You were friendly enough, for someone who didn't talk. Never interrupted, never laughed at his stutter, you two had a sort of mutual respect for the other.
- Even when you failed a job, you were at least in enough of one piece to try again, and by god would you try again.
- That is, of course, till he saw you die.
- There was a rogue shooter that had stormed thieves landing, another of your kind, mowing down anyone they could aim at. The two of you were sitting on the dock at the time, so in hopes of escape you both jumped in the water and hid beneath the boardwalk.
- When the shooter left he thought you were safe and hauled himself up after a few unsuccessful tries, attempting to offer a hand to pull you out of the water as well.
- The body was limp, face down, watery blood leaking from beneath it in thick red strings into the water. A terrible sight, really.
- Shaky jumped at the realization and started frantically reaching for your jacket to pull your corpse out, having been rendered completely non-verbal from the shock of the encounter.
- He dragged the body out, and it hit the dock with a wet splat, the dry land making the porthole in the back of your skull more evident as it slowly stopped pooling blood in your bullet filled brain.
- At this point words came back to him "Aw sh-sh-shit... that's just a sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-shame. I'm so s-s-sorry f-friend, J-Jesus..." He took his water-logged hat, wrung it out, and placed it over his heart for a moment of respect.
- A moment which was soon interrupted by a sharp whistle from behind him
- He whipped around, afraid of your killer having returned, but instead found a more horrifying sight.
- There you were, right as rain, standing on the other side of the dock, waving with a smoking revolver in hand.
- He thought he had finally gone mad, swore off the morphine right then and there no matter how bad he shook, he looked down to see your body but it had seemingly vanished, only a bloodstain proving it was there.
- You held out your hand, silent as always, with your assailant's hat resting atop it.
- There were... a lot of questions after that incident.
