. Despite Nemu and Hiyori being opposites in nature and appearance, they have a fairly good working relationship. Nemu has only met her predecessor a few times, but respects the work that she left behind. Old, detailed reports and instructions on budgeting, finance, resource management are all due to Hiyori’s diligence as a lieutenant.
. Additionally, Mayuri’s blood courses through Nemu’s veins and is aware of the fact that Hiyori was the first shinigami Mayuri interacted with as a ‘free’ man from the Maggot’s Nest. One of the few shinigami that never looked down upon him or as someone to exploit.
