“I don't know,” Liam teases, staring into Theo’s eyes, “I'm not sure you could handle it.”
“Oh?” Theo bites down a laugh while still gazing at Liam under him.
“And you're still healing.” Liam shrugs with a smirk. “We wouldn't want to… shake you too much.”
Liam smiles brightly before he raises his head just an inch higher and closer to Theo’s face and whispers, “Then why the fuck didn't you kiss me yet?”
👰♀️ - Peter Argent at your disservice
“We need something simpler, I won't remember all of that,” Chris says because he genuinely hates Peter’s dumb backstory he concocted for them but he also knows that saying so will only make Peter cling to it even more. And also… why the hell did Peter have that whole tale off the top of his head? But Chris doesn't ask because he really doesn't want to know.
Peter pouts slightly. “But you're the silent type, you don't even need to remember anything, I'll gladly tell them all about how you proposed three times before I agreed to marry you.”
“No, you don't need to talk. You need to go unnoticed and be underwhelming.”
“Well, how could I?” Peter smirks, pointing at his… everything.
Alec almost knocks a lamp over on his excited and hurried way to hug Liam. “You're even dressing like a professor, now?” The beta pulls away to looks at him and he laughs when he sees the little button-up shirt and tweed. “Do you wear glasses as well?”
Liam rolls his eyes. “Remind me whose fault it is that you turned out to be such a bully?”
Alec looks around, still laughing softly. “Yeah, where is Theo?”
Finally ending the hug, Liam picks up the bags Alec just threw everywhere as soon as he came in. “He just had to go pick some of his stuff at his place.”
It takes a few seconds before Alec speaks again. Frowning, he looks at Liam and asks, “I thought Theo lived here.”
It’s the rare hint of seriousness in Alec's tone that makes Liam stop. “No, he has his own apartment.”
“Oh… And that’s okay with you?” Liam gets even more confused. “Very modern, that's all. It's good to have your own space, I get it.”
Well, Liam does feel lonely sometimes in that big house all by himself but he's not sure what Alec means. Before he can ask, Alec has found his shimmering energy once again and is headed towards the kitchen.
“Yo, is there something to eat?”
“I wouldn’t be too ambitious if I were you, doctor,” Theo says with a bright yet sinister smile. “You still have two eyes. Be grateful I’m not plucking them out as we speak. I’d love to know if the optic nerve would still respond without being attached.”
Before Dr Harris can say anything, Liam is walking down the stairs, his arms full with two big laundry baskets of clean clothes. “You already checked that, remember? You glued an eyeball to Spider,” Liam says, his tone tired and disinterested.
Theo holds back a groan of frustration at Liam defusing his threat but he decides to change tactics instead. He's got plenty of threats in his pockets anyway.
“Then I’d just blind you for fun,” Theo says to Dr Harris who looks less and less worried with each new second. “To see if the technically dead tissue would heal.”
“We checked that on Splinter. And on The Mermaid. And on-”
“Liam! I’m trying to intimidate someone?!” Theo groans through his teeth, sending a fiery glare at his partner.
“Well, can you intimidate this box of equipment to wash itself? Because that would be more helpful!”
