music has always been part of hanbyeol’s life, he was born in a world surrounded by it and of course he quickly developed a love for it that could be as strong as his father’s was. it had always been easy for him to express himself through the lyrics he wrote, beautiful and meaningful poems, and through the melodies he composed on his father’s piano — the emotions were transcribed from his mind and body to the music sheets in front of him, as his fingers delicately pressed the white and black keys underneath his touch. that love, passion, and dedication led him to a path that he loved in the beginning but grew tired of as the years passed by.
in afterlife, hanbyeol doesn’t make music like he used to: he writes his lyrics, thinks of new melodies and arrangements to fit into the verses he created, but doesn’t put it to practice; he doesn’t even sing as much as he used to, even though he has always loved singing. instead, he has chosen to enjoy music that already exists, music that deviates from the type of music he used to create. music that can help him shut off his thoughts, that can make him feel at ease and comfortable in his own mind. music that can wipe away all and every concern, that can take the anxiety and paranoia off of his shoulders.
he enjoys soft and sweet notes that feel like a gentle caress to his ears, like fingers running the smooth strands of his dark hair — soothing him into a deep slumber.
