I just finished reading “Turtles All The Way Down” by @fishingboatproceeds . It’s 12.53 AM in Jakarta. My eyes were still teary. But I can’t help myself for being extremely grateful that this book consoles my wounds (we all are wounded, don’t we?)
I’m 25 years old this year, and I don’t have a tightening spiral of thoughts as brutal (can I say this) as Aza, our 16 years old heroine had, but the metaphors inside this well-written book makes me understand it clearer.
I could feel the pain, and also enjoy the reading process. Feels like “went out to the meadow” with Aza, Davis, Daisy… everyone.
I finished this book for one day. I even get this book at my office’s reception on Sunday, with a very bad flu. And my brain hurts a lot when I have to read it with runny nose, especially when the sad scenes came up.
But it’s worth the wait. Thank you, John.
