“Tell me,” he whispered, his voice sliding like silk over my flushed skin. “What?” My own voice came out breathless. “I am your favorite sin.”

read in 2021 – Rhapsodic – the bargainer, book 1 – by Laura Thalassa ★★★★☆
“I’ll be at your side, till the darkness dies.”
first book read of the year, I loved this story so much and can't wait to read the sequel.
This book is as utterly amazing. I devoured it. I bought two copies. I bought friends a copy. I wanted to start over reading from the beginning. While, yes, it’s a fairytale, it’s also a story about how monsters are not born but made, that the villain must first be created and then punished for it. It’s about corruption, slavery, abuse, social inequality, and the very human breaking point inside all of us. I loved it. #malice #maleficent #aurora #marora #books #bookcover #villain #ouat #bookstagram #booklover #book #bookrecommendations #bookish #read #readin2021 #finishedreading https://www.instagram.com/p/CO_-JTUl6Ug/?utm_medium=tumblr
BOOKS I READ IN 2021 → People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
“I'm on vacation. Vacations always end. It's the very fact that it's finite that makes traveling special. You could move to any one of those destinations you loved in small doses, and it wouldn't be the spellbinding, life-altering seven days you spend there as a guest, letting a place into your heart fully, letting it change you.”
BOOKS I READ IN 2021 → Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco
“Love is the most powerful magic. Above all else, remember that. It will always guide you where you need to go.”
BOOKS I READ IN 2021 → Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff
“There’s no misery so deep as one you face by yourself. No nights darker than ones you spend alone. But you can learn to live with any weight. Your scars grow thick enough, they become armour.”
BOOKS I READ IN 2021 → Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid
“Maybe our parents' lives are imprinted within us, maybe the only fate there is is the temptation of reliving their mistakes. Maybe, try as we might, we will never be able to outrun the blood that runs through our veins. Or. Or maybe we are free the moment we are born. Maybe everything we've even done is by our own hands.”
BOOKS I READ IN 2021 → The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Choksh
“My life, and whatever is left of it, will not be what his soul gnaws on to regain its strength. My death is not in service of his character, and I will not be a sacrifice simply for him to find his peace of mind. He is not my responsibility to save.”
