reading the bell jar. relating very hard and very uncomfortably to the narrator except the narrator is 19 and has the excuse of teenage angst and i am in my late twenties

#i'm only halfway through but there was a bit earlier in the book where she talked about seeing all the possible futures like a fig tree #but she couldn't decide which she wanted and all the figs died #and now she's living with her mother and didn't get on the course she wanted and tries to write a book #but realises she can't because she has no experience of life #and then just makes a thousand plans she's never going to actually do and could sylvia plath be quieter actually #reading lb
