The most common reason I won't reblog a fic is that the writer doesn't use readmores.
For clarification: a readmore is a hyperlink that appears as "keep reading". It allows longer content to be compacted until ready to be viewed, or to conceal sensitive content until the reader wants to see it.
While not required, readmores are used as a courtesy to make browsing a blog less annoying. If someone reblogs a 5k fic that doesn't contain a readmore their blog now has a gigantic fic running the length of 10+ screens taking up space. A well-placed readmore can condense that to 2 or fewer screen lengths.
I've successfully taught a few authors (via dm) how to insert readmores (most had no idea what they were) but a few of them threw their hands up and told me they don't care, which seemed odd since some of the same authors posted how they wish more people would reblog. :/
Anyway, here's how to insert a readmore on mobile:
1. Choose where you want to place the cut/break.
2. Insert a blank/empty row. Don't worry, it won't show as an additional row in the finished post.
3. Type :readmore: in the empty row like the example below:
4. After typing the 2nd colon hit enter/return/next. The readmore code will be converted to a dotted line with the word "more" in the center.
5. Save and exit edit mode. Done!
