another long, sleepless night...
The best way for me to explain insomnia is this. You know how when you are dehydrated your body does lots of things. It weakens, it's blood thickens, your organs start functioning less efficiently. But then you drink water and rehydrate and your body "starts over"? Imagine never being able to fully rehydrate. When you don't get REM sleep. (Contrary to common belief, insomniacs can "sleep" often, but never slip into REM sleep, which is the sleep that recharges your brain. So no matter how much you sleep, you never feel rested. That's kind of how it feels
insomnia forever
