Recently I have been getting asked where can we find the old pullover and shawl collar jackets like you made for years ? They were so warm you didn't want to take them off then a recent post in the Royal Burgh 15 miles down the road created lots of comments of the towns old heavy knit makers "Brenire" named after Brenda & Irene the women behind the two founders who also made the Scottish Regiments pullover. Made many shawl collars for Bert & Alan over the years, but also for the companies no longer with us and the picture is a couple of my favourites knitting thousands for others and myself, there is a link in my bio or bio on https://lnkd.in/eAmafEg of the old brochure with a few classic favourites. There are still a few of us around knitting on old hand flat machines, after all we were taught buy the #realcraftsmen of #InnerleithenTheRealHomeOfBallantyne #makeitbritish #madeinscotland #innerleithen (at Innerleithen)
