Let me put it fair and simple for you to understand: you don’t get the point. We, the ones in the minor and “rival” fandoms(Natza, Grayza, Graylu, Nali, etc.) have to deal with the big four’s rather cretin arguments or complete nonsense. Proof of this is on the fairytailconfess blog: go look up NaLi confessions and such, you’ll be able to see that those confessions are attacked on a general basis. In fact, people saying “I hope Natsu and Lisanna get married” are told “uhhh we’re not reading the same manga Natsu likes lucy lol?” when there is no concrete evidence that Natsu or Lucy hold romantic feelings for each other. I have explained this before, you can look through my blog for it.

I made this blog because those of us in it have to deal with the oppression from the big four shippers. Not only that, but it’s not limited to just being yelled at. We receive death threats; whenever we state an opinion, we properly tag it and avoid crosstagging and yet we get so much shit for nothing. When big four shippers are allowed to hate a minor ship that rivals the big four, everyone jumps in on the bandwagon–i.e. people agree with the big four shippers’ opinion because they themselves ship the big four. No one tells them anything. Yet when we in the minority say something, we’re treated like criminals! Saying that we shouldn’t hate, that we should all be a loving fandom, that we’re toxic, etc. from the same people supporting the big four shippers’ opinion. It’s comparable to systematic racism, I don’t see how it can’t!

White person: *kills black people, shows blatant racism towards poc, tells black people to get over it, says the police are doing the right job* racism does not exist in this country(America).

Black person: *has to deal with this, lives with the risk of dying at a white person’s hand, and will even be found guilty no matter what because black people are seen as dangerous whereas white people are excused with “mental illnesses.”* i hate white people.

White person: UM!! WHAT TYPE OF RACISM IS THIS?!?!?! WE WHITE PEOPLE HELP YOU SO MUCH, YOU’RE BEING RACIST TOWARDS WHITE PEOPLE.

And now, we go to the fairy tail fandom.

Big four shipper: *says they hate NaLi, GrayLu, etc., sends death threats to minor shippers, goes on the anti tags to bully people on there* ugh!! the antis are so stupid! they say gruvia toxic but it’s not! they’re just haters!

Minor shipper: *has to deal with this, tries to keep their posts tagged as properly as possible, avoids the ship tags and crosstagging, literally just states opinions and even if they don’t want to be criticized by big four shippers they do it anyway* i hate the big four. they act like they’re on a high horse. also, i really hope NaLi becomes canon!

Big four shipper: UM!! WHAT TYPE OF HATE IS THAT?! THIS IS A LOVING AND TOLERATING AND ACCEPTING FANDOM. YOU’RE TOXIC! YOU MAKE THE FAIRY TAIL FANDOM LOOK BAD. AND NALI WONT BE CANON NALU IS SOOO OBVIOUS MASHIMA JUST CAN’T MAKE THEM CANON.

I’ve made the sufficient comparisons. If you can’t see how much of a hierarchy the FT fandom is, then I’m afraid I can’t help you more than I’ve tried. But this is it: this is the bittersweet truth. No matter if you like it or not, this is just how things are.
