When my Dad enclosed part of the verandah to make a sunroom (26 years ago), he decided it was best to leave the window in place between the old and new rooms. He built shelves into the sunroom side, which sometimes looked messy from the dining room perspective... A couple of years ago, I scrounged an old pair of glazed cupboard doors from the Salvos - and they were near enough to a fit in front of the shelves, making a safe place for my glassware. The glass in the doors is frosted. I later bought a length of frosted film from @frostwindowfilm to obscure the window side. Almost done - 3 little frames are lacking in hangers, so I need to fix that. Laying everything out on the floor was great for figuring out how to arrange everything, and also meant I had to get it finished if I didn't want to keep stepping carefully around my gallery. 😅 And taking a photo allowed me to keep checking where to put each piece. There's still a pile of pictures (mostly seahorses) to be rehung in a gallery on the opposite wall, but it's nearly there! I've got more stencilling to do on the stripe, too. I've just started on repainting the bathroom - but having bought 3 rolls of vintage wallpaper last week, I've also started dreaming about redoing the study. Hopefully I have enough to do one wall...Wallpaper made in West Germany, and in 11yard lengths. I found this glorious kameez at the Salvos yesterday - there were at least a dozen outfits to choose from. This one has all the colours I used in the layers on the bathroom door, so it had to come home with me. My gallery wall needs me to hang more pictures. I don't want to hide too much of the vintage wallpaper, and I think do want a bigger/better monitor, so I have to keep that in mind.
