🦅 ⋆⛧ “i heard about you, you know. from fury.” he also reads files, but he didn’t think that would be the best way to introduce himself. ‘hello, i’m steve rogers - formerly captain america, i read everything about you in your file.’ yeah, not the best introductory argument. “i’m steve,” he smiled as he offered his hand to her - happy to see someone who fought hard for her rights and to survive into this new landscape. “i saw you’re doing combat training with natasha? that’s gotta be interesting. i’m across the way doing defense - maybe one day we can do a combination class or something. i’m sure a few people here could use it.” he offered, though he hadn’t realized how entirely that conversation sounded, still - he was trying.

🩰 - “this place is a mess,” natasha greeted as she walked into the dive bar, her eyes taking in the... odd decorations and just generally stale atmosphere. “this is your amazing job?” she raised a brow when she approached the bar and leaned up against the top as she watched her sister-in-all-but-blood move behind it. “it is certainly something. are you all allergic to decorations?” she wondered if the winter planning had reached here or not but she assumed the boxes in the corner were just merely waiting for someone to put them up. “or is your boss as lazy as he is easily targetable?”

🩺 ( location ) medical bay - doctor mccoy’s office, the cambria one

🩺 - he was seated with his hands to his mouth as a pensive and studious look to his face gave the impression he was in deep thought. which, truthfully, he was. sighing, he sat forward to take another look at the devices on her arms and frowned. “well, i can sure tell you that i haven’t seen anything like that before - but i can also tell you that being a from the future has its advantages and i can probably make you something smaller and more subtle.” he finally spoke and met her face with a smile. “gauntlets you call them? yeah i think i can... figure something out. especially before the bastards figure out they help you with your...” he paused and looked around as if they were being watched, “problem.”

🩺 - “you’re gonna have to speak a little slower for me, i’m sorry i’m just an old country doctor,” he was being an ass and he knew it, his smile only proved he was pulling her leg. bones knew perfectly well what she was saying but he also had to admit he was laying it thick with his southern georgia accent as well. it’d been fun messing around at the bar, especially with yelena - she had a smart-assness to her and didn’t put up with anything, banter he enjoyed. “can i get another?” he asked, holding his empty glass up, “please.” he added, wondering if he might have pushed her too far and decided leaving a bigger tip was the smarter idea.

||            SHE NEVER THOUGHT SHE’D BE COOKING IN SPACE.        well, firstly, she never thought she’d be in space to begin with, but it was what it was, now. complaints were futile  —  the concerns did not waver, but after about two months, the overwhelming urge to leave kind of just...left. maybe she’s adjusting better than most, or maybe she just cares a touch less, but whatever it is, mary jane is a little bit grateful for. 

she’s not grateful for the cooking, though, but there’s only so many credits she could spend on food.

“   any recommendations   ?   i’m looking for something pretty easy to make. maybe like a pizza, but not a pizza. you know   ?   ”

🪐 -  “so, not only is uncle ben back but now my birth parents, apparently.” leia announced as she entered the shared office with ahsoka. “that’s sure to be a fun kicker during family gatherings - i heard there’s an earth one coming up soon but i think i’d rather drown myself into whatever alcohol the salmon has cheapest.” in truth, leia just truly missed her own family, her parents bail and breha, but her husband and child too. at least luke was here but they hadn’t really had the time to talk much. unfortunately. “so if you want to join me there to hide, i won’t say no.”

🐺 - he’d not personally gone down to the bars in awhile, instead he had chosen to take to exploring off-ship. when that was done and he was free to take his post back in the bridge, eivor had forcibly decided he was done with any path that veered from the one he needed to do. that was until tonight when he felt the sinking feeling that odin was pulling away and attempting to cause a break that would shatter their psyche. well played. sighing into his glass of beer, he looked up to the bartender and smiled. “how often do you work here? i ask out of curiosity alone, i need a distraction from my own thoughts and demons.”

🔮 - “and here i thought ‘maybe i got it wrong, maybe she isn’t actually here orchestrating a party in space and in the future’.” bonnie chimed up, steadfastly approaching caroline with a widened grin on her lips. “god, it is so good to see you, you have no idea.” she was sure caroline had some idea, especially given how she knew that personally she herself was supposed to meet her fate. at least now it’s been escaped, at least now she has caroline again. pointing at the banners waiting to be hung, bonnie raised a brow, “you need help with those banners? i still have my magic, they just... i don’t know, dampened it so i can’t commit crimes.” teasingly, she rolled her eyes.
