Geno and fresh are close to each other? How did that happen??
This'll be explained briefly in a future comic, but essentially RC Ink used to be quite in tune with the scripts and the creators. This meant that he had some information about what creator created who, and so forth. Quite some time after he formed a friendship with Fresh (and at this point had somewhat of a weird friend-rivalry with Error), he let the information slip that Fresh had the same creators as Error and another Sans - Geno.
This, of course, presented an incredible opportunity for Fresh to annoy the everloving fuck out of Error - one of his favorite activities, and that eventually branched to Geno when he found him. For the rest of time up to the present, he has always clung to and teased the idea of the three of them being brothers, because both Geno and Error hate it.
Or, they did. Who knows how they feel, now.

thinking about really chill error and his motivations and his tendency to completely contradict himself. he has no obligation to be taking care of the mtt, but he tells himself he's bound to that promise he made, as if promises have ever meant anything to him. but he needs an excuse as to why he sticks around, because he himself doesn't even know the answer to that. and he's afraid of finding out. error's relationship with the very concept of relationships is incredibly complex. he'd argue that he has no friends because he isn't even sure what that might look like for him, even if it's blatantly in his face. the concept that he might have friends is something he isn't ready to acknowledge either, and i'm not sure he ever will. error is willfully blind about this. about a lot of things, really. something that i think about sometimes is the journey of error zeroing in on ink's secrets. none of it was out of concern, at least consciously, but out of suspicion. when error is aware that something is happening or someone is hiding something, he absolutely cannot let it go. it'll dig at him and dig at him until he figures it out. ink's warning signs came off, almost, as threats to error. "why is he fainting? why is he dressed differently? why does he look like that? ink's gotta have some kind of ulterior motive or something and he's going to try some bullshit and i can't trust him and i have to figure it out i have to figure it out i have t" error tweaking over ink as he's robbing a pharmacy for dust's medication. tweaking over ink is also his number one method of avoiding all the other obvious shit he's got going on. which ties back into him taking care of the mtt and nightmare and actively trying to solve whatever is going on like
[insert really insane noise] ouugh
i know he's ripping apart universes too just frustrated as to why he's doing any of this but at least he's still got his main goal (which he's feeling weird about because The Tear is doing his job for him and he doesn't fucking like it but also he should shouldn't he??)

thinking about rc ink. about how old he is and how much time he's had to evolve and adapt to the people around him. how he's grown to understand that blending in with emotional beings is the best way to coast through life and his duties, despite the fact that it's not true to who he is.
but who is ink, really? is he just a convoluted creature made up of ideas and perceptions that people project onto him? or is he whatever he thinks others think he should be? i grapple with this idea frequently. i think, from an external perspective such as ours, the first is true. ink is what we want him to be. but from an internal perspective, from inside the rc verse, ink is what he believes he needs to be in order to do his job. there is a panel a few posts back in which ink expresses what seems to be genuine fear and anguish amidst the hallucinations of his friends. he begs for release from this, for mercy. and i think that moment is a perfect example of how ink has drifted so far from reality, not only being so used to masking, but suffering from genuine delirium. i sometimes think about what that might be like for him. being driven to the brink by hunger, to the point that maybe he forgets that he can't feel, and mimics this experience. and part of him might wonder, "why isn't this reflected on the inside?" and he won't get that answer. there's no logic in moments like these. anyway i augh ink is just. an incredibly interesting character to explore. i also wanted to establish that some of rc ink's more emotional reactions are, in a sense, completely fake. something something ink sans and the art of blending in.
