I love the martha-grace duality in the new knives out movie. it's basically the madonna-whore thing recreated, except shown for what it really is. martha is not revered by the church, she is a servant who silently upholds it all, does all the administrative, housekeeping, organising work with no complaints. she sacrifices everything including herself and is at the end left empty. grace... does nothing. doesn't sacrifice anything, doesn't serve it for a single day of her life, doesn't lift a single finger. the church has no power over grace, so it demonizes her to unimaginable levels.

okay but have we considered humans being domesticated for the purposes of finding energon? getting Weird vibes and noting how the energon kills plants and other animals? alerting the big metal things that eat the glowing rocks and make the sickness go away? because i do. i think about it a lot.

Another thing i like about Batwheels that i have never pointed out

So i love the way they brought Gotham into the picture. Gotham is usually dark and most of it you see at night, wich we also do in batwheels, but there is alot of life and light in it aswell. I love the lights and the shine. It makes this city look inhabited and alive. It really makes me believe ppl actually live here

I love how they made Gotham so light and more alive, but also kept that mysterious vibe from scenes in allyways and roads. The backgrounds look colorful, lively and just absolutely beautiful.

Even in close up scenes with characters the city looks cool. You can just see people live here. Amazingly done

depression's been kicking my ass and such for however long. i reread tpoh recently and it just kinda. relights a little spark in me. i've been afraid that my efforts are meaningless. i'm betting you've struggled with similar doubts. but you've been steadily putting your heart, soul, sweat, and tears into this webcomic for over a decade now, and even if you aren't getting enough recognition for it, it really truly means so much. you and your work mean a lot to many people. i don't know where i'm going with this- i don't know where i'm going in general. and based off the small bits of personal info sprinkled across your posts here and there, i figure you're in hard times too. well, you are never alone; you've got this. i wish you nothing but the same peace that you've indirectly given me.
