Hi! How are you? I made an HR Diagram in R where the color of each star is what its true color should be, based on Planck's law for wavelength and the CIE 1931 color matching functions, 2 degree observer! It took 338 lines of code! The size of the stars are based on radius.
I also made one that should very roughly account for Earth's atmosphere (and also adjust the size and luminosity of the stars based on distance from earth). Its ok, but I really love the top one!
(Hopefully the diagrams show up in high quality, the preview Tumblr is showing me looks fairly blurry).
These look awesome! I love the first one too! Where did you get your list of stars from?
