I completely ran out of spoons after going to my sister’s boss’s bunny’s birthday party and now I’m halfway through eating and upset because my gag reflex decided there’s not enough spoons to eat!

Nothing like having so much anxiety lately that your personal life is suffering as a consequence and you’re referred to a 6-8 week intensive therapy program... And then there’s a sudden wildfire in the mountains presenting your PTSD with all your triggers ON TOP OF ALL THAT OTHER SHIT!
Cuz like thanks world. I really needed this.
That feeling when you refuse to put lotion on but then you lay in bed just scratching and scratching your itchy dry skin. Like is it worth it? Does saving myself from one kind of discomfort justify the other kind of discomfort??? Wish I could just put. On. The. Lotion. Like a regular person
Sometimes I think to myself “but what if I don’t actually have autism (despite being diagnosed at age 7)” But then there are days like today where everything seems to be fine and then for some reason at 6 pm I’m on the verge of a tactile sensory meltdown and my sister has to braid back my hair back and I’m wearing my clothes inside out so the seams don’t touch my skin. So I guess I’m not faking it
Idk why, but you remind me of the art girl in Kiki’s Delivery Service who lives in the woods with the crows
Oh my god what an icon! Damn I can only aspire to be that cool haha! I absolutely would love to live that hermit lifestyle but apparently that’s like not great for my mental health??? Thank you for this!
I am so bad at drinking water and I constantly function at low levels of dehydration, partially because when I am thirsty my brain interprets the feeling as “I want something cold in my mouth”. The first thing I think of when that thought kicks in is that I want to eat some fruit. But then I open the fridge, look at the fruit and decide I don’t want any of the fruit in the fridge.
Meanwhile my brain is still yelling “cold in mouth” while my body is actually saying, “give me some water you stupid ass dehydrated bitch” until it finally clicks for me that I’m just thirsty after listening to this for an hour.
Needing to pep talk myself into applying lotion onto my dry, itchy skin is tiring and trading one unpleasant sensory experience for another is so annoying! Does anyone have any tips for coping with this????
