Owning a horse is expensive. Owning a show horse is even more expensive. Luckily, my farrier shoes my Jake for next to nothing. Love that guy to death. But god, looking at showing costs this year...I'm not sure how my mom did it.
I can't decided if I should sell Jake or take him with me to Fresno. I know what I want to do, but it's the logical thing that I can't pick out.
If I sell him, I can sell my trailer, tack and truck and get some extra cash, but that's an extremely tough goodbye.
If I keep him, I could still trade the truck and Audi in and get a towing vehicle that isn't as back breaking as my truck and I'd have that one thing that has kept me grounded and alive the past year. Ahh, decisions decisions.
I guess my next step is to research. Research barns to board at in Fresno. Hmmm.
