Yesterday I was able to catch up with my dear friend from my high school and @berkleecollege days, Ms @RebeccaLoebe. She's always been a talented songwriter; even in school she had an impressive catalogue of original songs. The day I met her she already knew exactly what she wanted to do in life and she continues to inspire me with her success, her creative output and her determination. Rebecca is one of the hardest working musicians I know. She supports herself thru her art by releasing her own music, printing her own Merch and playing countless live shows (which means lugging all of her gear on her own back and driving herself across the country) year after year, performing alongside the many other musicians trying to make their way in this "business" without focusing too much on the business end. By herself. This is done without the support of any label, without a salary, without insurance or assurance of any income. And she makes it amazingly well. She does it with just plain old fashioned music + passion + networking + fan support. It's so inspiring. I'm so pleased we FINALLY we ended up in the same place at the same time!
