Leaning back in his seat, the older Original crossed his legs and kept his gaze focused on his sister. “The sheer LOYALTY you show towards our brother never fails to SURPRISE me. Even after everything he’s done to hurt you, you still come back. I’m amazed. Truly.” He never understood how his siblings could remain loyal to Niklaus. Maybe he just didn’t understand FAMILY as well as they did. 

After they were turned, the relationship he held with his siblings slowly began to dwindle. Not that he WANTED it to happen. He did love his siblings dearly. Especially Rebekah. Next to Kol, she had always been his favorite.

it  wasn’t  often  the  hunter  received  something  other  than  a  purred  invitation  from  the  other  end  of  that line ,   flickering  visages  of  golden  hair  and  the  gleam  of  her  hues  invading  the  forefront  of  his  mind  the  moment  he’d  seen  her  name  flash  upon  the  screen .   since  she’d  taken  the  cure,   the  hunter  had  lived  restless  whenever  he  was  away ;   he  knew  she  would  forever  be  a  woman  who  could  hold  her  own ,   but  a  certain  lack  of  finesse  she’d  been granted  for  countless  decades  was  now  gone .

warmth  paints  itself  vivid   &   unwelcome  atop  the  round  of  freckle - dusted  cheeks.   the  last  thing  he  sees  before  lashes  flutter  closed  is  an  array  of  golden  locks,   the  sweetened  scent  that  had  only  ever been  doted  to  her  curling  in  scarves  around  him.   he  shouldn’t  find  himself  drawn  to  it   –––   to  her   –––   she  was  everything  he  had  been  raised  to  rid.   (   and  yet  how  many  times  have  you  felt  you  were  raised  fairly  ?   )    

he’s  quick  to  steel  himself  from  the  lapse  of  tenderness  he  has  allowed  by  staying  put,   by  allowing  apple  red  lips  of  hers  to  find  his  skin  in  the  first  place.    he  years  for  it,   deep  down.   scarred   &   stolen  childhood  murmuring  from  grieving  recesses.   couldn’t  of  been  more  than  a  moment  or  two,   ‘til he’s  clearing  his  throat,   eager  to  avert  his  attention  to  something  other  than  the  swell  of  heat  caressing  his  flesh.        ❛    probably  best  i  head  out  soon.   y’know,   long  drive  ahead’a  me.    ❜
