Re: controversy over canceling the Confederate Flag

For people who think the Confederate flag should stand for the right to rebel rather than slavery:

Why not create a new version of the Confederate flag which includes the stars and bars combined with an anti-slavery emblem, such as a broken pair of shackles? This would signify that the user of the flag is in favor of states' rights, the right to secede, and/or the recognition of Southern history, but is opposed to slavery and racism.

Rambling About The Rebel Flag Issue Because I Am PISSED About Constant Issues and Laptop Battery Problems

Long ass titles aside. Yes. The issue here in the States about the battle flag of the Confederacy. Those in defense of it, they are wrong. Sure, freedom of speech, but it is a flag that was flown by rebels. Those people, at least most of them, were fighting against freedom to keep slavery. I haven’t heard that point brought up enough, really at all. I say that all who fly the rebel flag, outside of reenactments, should be treated as such. They should be arrested and tried for treason. Not to mention, it is obviously used by white supremacy groups, and they should just be rounded up and executed for treason and being a threat to national security. At the very least, it should NOT be flying over government buildings and worked into a states flag.
