Would you be willing to stop putting "glow blog" under everything? I promise you that it does not attract attention to your blog. It's more of a nuisance to your followers than anything else. And while I'm offering constructive criticism, maybe reblog yourself less so that we don't see the same content over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. is that why i gain 300+ followers daily, if it bothers you so much im not held you at gun-point to follow me in the first place
at first i only self promoted because i wanted to get out there, because i knew about a total of 3 blogs the same style as me and i felt anonymous. but then i hit a certain sweet spot and next thing i knew i gained 10,000 followers in one solid month and the flow of new followers has only increased every since. with a momentum like it’s hard to quit self promoting but i asked around some people and i found that whilst it annoys many people, about 30%, another 50% self promote themselves and therefore understand, 10% of people have the good sense to push three buttons “cntrl+a+delete” which was low hassle when they liked the post enough to want to reblog it in the first place, and the other 8% just don’t give a shit or even notice because the majority of themes don’t show captions on your blog. but even then i thought that i had gained enough to stop but then i got really busy with school so i started queueing from myself in a mass drag and click and therefore didnt remove the self promotion and the few times that i do reblog new things these days i find myself in a state of “why not”
ps i don’t reblog from myself, i queue from myself when i have school because i have very little time to post new and fresh pictures not to mention the fact that as long as ive been glow blogging, im pretty sure ive scraped the bottom of the barrel. my intensive self reblogging is both out of lack of time, and id rather be constantly posting good content which is only once an hour as it is (i mean if that's "polluting" your dashboard then why the hell are you even following me) than posting one or two things every month or so
now go ahead and send me hate but if you’re really so sure of yourself and your beliefs about self promotions then why don’t you be the first person message me off anon regarding this. because im tired of receiving all these tough guy messages from cowards that never want to be found for sending them.
i promise im a really nice person but i’m just really tired of snotty and rude messages about this. although i want to make it clear that this message was the only message i’ve ever received that addressed this issue in a polite manner and therefore why i decided to make the effort to reply with such a long message and i have no hard feelings towards this person whomever you may be.
