Kat DmC (witch) Headcanons

I have a few hc for Kat because I learned a few different things this year through an abundance of research and boredom

If she worked as a medium medium, I'd like to think she eventually works with spirits as well. She asks for guidance this way (almost like how Dante needed Phineas' guidance at one point)

When they are short on or Kat generally needs money I totally see her taking the bs "fortune teller" route

She only gives positive advice though, like a therepist just cheaper

Kat works with odd numbers. It's a thing. The Earth was not created perfectly, hence her use of odd numbers

She loves and I mean loves her ribbons. They are practical, helpful for many day to day things and they are cute when placed in hair

Candles! Small candles, big candles, all color candles, even birthday candles if she's in a rush (it all works you guys)

She's very empathetic and it harms her so much when she's young. As she grows older, she needed to learn to be a bit more colder. It was due to her taking in so much of the negativity and energy of those she meets and encounters.

She's not mean she's just been hurt! She's actually really sweet!

Taking on different techniques, she learns different things over the years and that shows through the decoration on herself

She starts to wear bracelets on her left hand for protection, and others on her right, all due to a differnent kind of witchcraft practice.

Her necklace collection grows as well.

She dives into runes, decorating her hands with patterns as well. She jumps into different practices from around the world (she's a nerd she likes to learn new things) and adapts some of those into herself (hence "she decorates herself with what she learns")

I'll add more or possibly elaborate on certain points made. I really wanted to add certain details to fics but I often forget :/

Six Sentence Sunday

Now that I’m done Dadgil week I’m kind of on the fence what to do next... I have a few ideas but nothing really fleshed out yet as I finish up my Vergil fic. So I decided to try a reboot oneshot and it’s so weird to write these characters who are so unlike the main game! But we’ll see, I guess.

Her words die off, and Kat looks at him in surprise. “I’m sorry! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean—”

“What?” Dante looks at her in just as much surprise. “Why are you apologizing to me?”

“Bringing up Ver—bringing him up. I try not to.”

She looks away, and Dante leans over the table. “I wish you would. You can, if you want.” Kat’s gaze darts to him and he shrugs. “Honestly this secrecy is like… it’s hard, not talking about it.”

“You want to talk about it?” Her voice is small, but her question is genuine, and her eyes actually light up a bit. “Really?”
