pedbou: A memory that I never shared. I got to go back to New York after 15 years. I was able to spend time with some old friends, who I’ve kept in touch with. What a strange feeling. The unbreakable bond of a childhood friendship that cemented itself in a time of development. The experience of returning, reliving and encountering the old times should always be cherished. Julie and I went with some friends from Vancouver. To explore, love and support one another. Look after your tribe and they will look after you.

I saw Emily’s play again last night!! Everyone was amazing. It was really great that even though I knew what was going to happen it still got to me.

While she was signing my playbill I told her that Felicity Smoak is one of my favorite characters of all time and that it really means a lot to me that she is Jewish. I asked her if Beth Schwartz ever told her things about Judaism to help her incorporate that stuff into her character and she said she and Beth used to have little classes where Beth would teach her about Jewish family life and holidays and it was really fun. I love that they did that and I think it’s very important that they did. She’s so sweet! If you can, I highly recommend seeing the show before it closes next week.
