Throw yourself a pity party. Get a bottle of wine and a nice smelling candle. Clean up your space, I don’t mean just take out the trash, I mean clear out that clutter corner in your closet. Do your laundry, including the dirty socks and his sweats that have been lying under your bed for the last six months. Fold your laundry and reorganize your closet. Vacuum. After you do the dishes light that candle. Order a pizza. While you’re waiting for it run a hot bath with essential oils. Relax into the water. Let yourself be sad but don’t let it ruin your life.When the time comes, whether that’s tomorrow or in a year, let yourself be okay. Realize that sometimes you’ll suddenly miss him again and it’ll hit you like a tidal wave straight to the heart. Take it as it comes.
