Sometimes, life as a nonbinary person of color feels monotonous or even hopeless. Your friends don't understand what you're going through, and it doesn't feel like things are ever going to change enough for you to even be able to play with your gender expression again. Someone you know is planning her wedding while you don't even know if you're going to make it to tomorrow.
This story features an almost completely nonwhite cast full of queer characters, multiple types of mental health representation including depression, anxiety, and PTSD, a physically disabled main character, and themes of learning what to keep to yourself and what burdens you're better off sharing with others.

Dude this show has everything! It’s got canon queer and ND rep, string female characters, found family, power of friendship, and misfits coming together! It’s even got explorations of several types of trauma and characters overcoming their trauma to grow as people! Who doesn’t love a band of misfits turned family challenging the status quo! And spoiler, but they even succeed in the end!
