I am dead certain that "animal abusers" in #184 refers to abusers who are animals, rather than people who abuse animals. It's been at least a decade since I've seen anything even related to it, but I'm putting in a guess for the Madagascar franchise. In general I guess. It could be one of the Madagascar movies or spin off shows (?? I think those exist. Probably.) but I have no idea at all which one. Not educated enough for that.

Pretty sure Mort and King Julien are at the very LEAST jokingly in a relationship in one of those, and maybe one of the penguins gave Alex therapy at some point?? Again, these memories are hazy, but in my heart of hearts it fits. Also, "tumblr fever dream." I barely remember anything about Madagascar but "fever dream" is pretty accurate for how I feel about the vague recollection I do have.

Everyone's saying that 186 is Green Eggs and Ham, which all but clinches it, but if the submitter would like a funny guess, it's impressive how mostly well their rec maps onto the "His wife has filled his house with chintz" couplet (from tumblr, i guess). Minus the obvious.

Just spent several hours going through Every Single Rec in the tournament with my partner and getting a guess for nearly all of them (and at least commenting on the ones we were stumped on, or throwing out the first thing we thought of). Absolutely not guaranteed to be good guesses, but here they are...

#129: Maybe a documentary or musical of some sort?? It sounds lovely but I can't quite place it.

#130: Psych...? Maybe...?

#131: I saw someone else's guess for Spore and completely, wholeheartedly agree.

#132: Partner guesses Severance. ...We have not watched Severance.

#133: Based off of honestly very little, I am guessing Guilty Gear.

#134: I say Spongebob Squarepants. Partner says Animaniacs.

#135: Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc from me, Divergent from my partner.

#136: Partner and I both agree on Ace Attorney, but not sure which one/specifics.

#137: Was briefly considering this could be Wicked or just generally The Wizard of Oz universe, but really have no idea bout the trans rep. The Man (tm) would be The Wizard, of course.

#138: Friends guessed this as Seraph of the End, Danganronpa, and Maze Runner.

#139: Best guess is.... X-Men? I feel like it's familiar, but at the same time I can't quite place it.

#140: Partner says KPop Demon Hunters (which I agree with wholeheartedly) or Heathers The Musical.

#141: Partner guesses The Owl House, I guess Revolutionary Girl Utena (which I know only very little about from dashboard osmosis).

#142: Partner says Les Miserables, I think some kind of specific history textbook but absolutely no idea what.

#143: My best guess is maybe The Odyssey? Particularly because of the "vast, centuries-spanning fantasy epics".

#144: First thought is AO3-- second and more reasonable thought, is the SCP.... wikis? I don't know where they put this stuff. Wherever SCPs are from.

Okay, let's try to guess all my opponents that I haven't already guessed (and aren't also me)! I submitted a preposterous number of recs again, so this may take a while…

#197: I think I'm going to second the Clue guess.

#201: Okay, but what if this time it actually IS the Broken Earth Trilogy?! (Though I'm not sure how to sell that as "whimsical romantasy", but maybe there's a way?)

#206: I agree that this is NOT Super Mario, since it clearly wants us to think that, but is worded such that it could be any number of other things. I considered guessing E.T. myself, but I don't think that can be spun as a platformer? Never played it, so I'm not sure. Instead, I'll second Castlevania III since the guesser seems to have way more knowledge of old-school gaming than I do.

#216: I can only second the Steven Universe guess, including the part where it doesn't actually work…

#223: I'm going to guess Wildermyth. Many campaigns do span generations; anyone can die without "sacrificing their narrative" because they persist as legacy characters (under the right conditions), and also death is part of their narrative; things are randomly generated to some extent so the course of events is "wildly unpredictable" at first; and if you don't lock the relationship, legacy characters can fall in love with someone different every time you recruit them, so "polyamory". Not sure about "open sexuality" (is that somehow referencing the way you can toggle which gender characters are attracted to?), but I won't worry about it because it fits pretty well overall!

#231: Identity and equality… a "lightbulb moment"… "fourteen-year-old me thought about that for AGES"… I want to say this is somehow a math thing. Like, a math textbook, a problem where you solve for X? I'm going to guess this is an algebra textbook.

#233: No idea, so after glancing at the Wikipedia page I'll second the guess for Limbus Company which I know nothing about.

#244: I feel like it's a trap but… some sort of Harry Potter spinoff? If not, I apologize for comparing whatever this is to Harry Potter XD

#252: No idea… my terrible wild guess is something Slender Man-related?

#253: Earthbound, maybe…?? Not sure why this has Earthbound vibes to me…

#256: I'll guess Cells At Work like everyone else since it seems to fit from the Wikipedia page.
