Love is a key theme throughout, and this is inclusive of aromanticism - the writers have even said that they are actively aiming to be inclusive of the aro community. There are trans women, at least one trans man, and too many non-binary characters to count! And inclusion for gender nonconforming people besides! With dark academia vibes, rebellion against authority (or the decision to work alongside it, or a Secret Third Thing), who even needs 'the laws of physics' or 'a consistent timeline'? Honestly, what's not to love? AND there's plenty of material for shipping!
