in the dollhouse
[the outsiders + forbidden game series, omegaverse, dalpony. in-progress, 21k]
Tulsa, 1967. It's the last spring break before Ponyboy goes to college. He's got more worries than what he thought he'd have, including his relationship with Dallas Winston. All he wants to do is have one last party before he goes to a future he's more than earned.
Too bad that the boardgame he brought to the party is not just a boardgame. It's a matter of life and death, to play against Julian. And it's not just Ponyboy who's a player in this game, but the whole gang, or what's left of it. They just have to survive their own nightmares, one by one and hope they'll all wake up in the morning, the victors.
The Jacket Exchange: A Dallas Winston/Ponyboy Curtis Ship Manifesto
A meta essay on Dallas Winston/Ponyboy Curtis and why they should be together.
what else should i be? all apologies
[the outsiders, post canon, complete. 2.2k]
In 1968, Sandy finally gets the guts to call Angela Shepard. They talk about a few things, chiefly Sodapop Curtis.
get busy living, or get busy dying
[the outsiders, omegaverse, dalpony. older!pony/younger!dallas complete, 11k.]
Six months after Johnny dies, the prodigal son of Tulsa comes back home. Dallas has never exchanged more than two sentences with him. But... Ponyboy seems like a good place to start putting himself back together.
abel was no lamb, he was my brother
[the outsiders, omegaverse. genfic, in progress. 14k+]
June, 1968. Darry Curtis receives a call that his youngest brother, Ponyboy, has been found again. He drives to the station in Oklahoma City to get him back that June, eager to be reunited with his baby brother who was taken from him.
He's not sure, when his eyes fall on him, that the person sitting on that bench really is Ponyboy. Perhaps it's a cuckoo wearing his face, imitating his movements, using his eyes. Or maybe a single mistake in the past has now changed their current present in ways that Darry has not expected.
the lonely
[the outsiders & the twilight zone, omegaverse, dalpony, jally. 11k, complete.]
Johnny Cade wonders what happened to his partner, Dallas Winston, during his jail sentence on a lonely asteroid. He's not quite prepared for the breakdown that follows or that just maybe, Dallas' heart remains on that lonely rock in space.
the path before us, the world before us (i'll wait for you there)
[the outsiders & ladyhawke. dalpony, two bit pov. 18k, complete.]
At twenty-two, Two-Bit is hardly all that remarkable in Guthrie. Maybe he was more, back in Tulsa where everything had made more sense years ago.
But not in Guthrie. Here, he slips in with the varying rodeo hands here like it's nothing, working jobs where he can, and keeping an eye on the rodeo circuit the way most did given it was their livelihood. It's about as much fun as he gets to have, seeing riders come in and out, picking out those who are actually something special versus the ones who are in it for the money or just the life of it all or ones who should've quit years ago but still was chasing something whether it was money or glory.
It's when he runs into the mysterious rider, Dallas Winston and his Appaloosa horse, The Kid that things change.
Two-Bit finds himself in the center of not just a cutthroat rodeo competition but two people living through an unusual curse.
you will find me if you let go into the static
[the outsiders & stranger things. pre-canon, omegaverse, completed, 15k]
In the fall of 1960, Ponyboy Curtis goes missing without a trace. Which doesn't make sense — there's no evidence of where he might gone, of who could've taken him, and as the hours keep going, panic begins to grip Tulsa.
The only person who seems to know what's going on is Dallas. And Dallas is the only person who knows that there is a trace of Ponyboy to be found: in the static of the television in the Curtis home, calling for help.
Dallas isn't a hero. Except maybe for this one time...
those winter sundays
[the outsiders, pre-canon, completed, 1k]
Ponyboy doesn't know everything. Darry had been going to night classes, had been faking it. Until he runs into Paul again.
dawn goes down to day (all that gold is rusting)
[the outsiders, omegaverse, dalpony. johnny-centric. 11k]
Johnny makes a call in the Spring of 1983 that accelerates the destruction of his relationship with Ponyboy and Dallas, and makes him come to terms with his own morality.
