↳ Teammates: Mark Recchi (2009-2011)

Mark Recchi played for Bruins for just under 2 and a half seasons, getting traded there in March of 2009, at the end of a highly accomplished 23 year NHL career. But his impact on the team in just that short amount of time is immeasurable, especially on young forward Patrice Bergeron. 

In his time with the Bruins he was paired with Bergeron both during 5 on 5 and the penalty kill. The line was often tasked with stopping the other team's top offensive line. But Recchi's impact on Bergeron was more off ice than on ice. By 2009 Bergeron had played in the league for six years, but had worn the A for only two seasons. Bergeron has credited his emergence as a leader to the mentorship of Recchi, showing him when to speak up and how to lead by example. 

The Bruins went on to win the cup in 2011, which included many contributions from the Marchand-Bergeron-Recchi line, and Recchi retired after the game 7 win.
